“The Garden” – Photographic Exhibition by Siân Davey
October 2, 2025 – February 6, 2026 Outdoor display near Buildings D and P (open Monday–Sunday)
A poetic and intimate series where the photographer transforms her family garden into a biodiversity refuge and a space for connection. Among wildflowers, friends, and passersby, The Garden becomes a place of grief, healing, and shared joy. In partnership with Glaz Festival.

Exhibition: “Francis Hallé, the Forest Genius”
November 3 – December 19, 2025 BU Centrale – Exhibition Space
A passionate botanist, Francis Hallé takes us on a journey through trees, forests, and their secrets. Through his drawings—paired with those of Nicoby, author of Génie de la Forêt —we discover life itself. From his garden to tropical forests, from fallen trees to canopies, Hallé shares a lifetime of research and his unbroken wonder at the forest’s absolute beauty. In partnership with the Francis Hallé for Primary Forest Association and Albin Michel Editions.

Launching the Echoes of the Earth series: a conversation with Francis Hallé (botanist and biologist), Nicoby (comic artist), and Johan Oszwald (geography professor at Rennes 2). They’ll discuss primary forests, forest soils, life, canopies, and the urgent need to protect these spaces. They’ll also explore the role of drawing—how Hallé captures life and the importance of making research accessible through art and comics.

For the past 10 years, naturalist photographer Émilien Colleu has captured the wonders of biodiversity. His work invites us to pause, listen, and observe—just as he does.
“Forests” – Micro-Exhibition at the Fonds ancien
November 5 – December 15, 2025 BU Centrale – Rare Books Collection (access via the rear of Building H)
Mysterious, awe-inspiring, and endlessly fascinating, forests have fueled our imagination since time began. Discover a curated selection of treasures from the 34,000-volume Reserve Collection . Open Monday–Friday, 2:00–5:00 PM, or by appointment. More information available here.
“BlockSmog” – Interactive Multimedia Exhibition by Guillaumit
November 12 – December 12, 2025 Hall du Tambour
A vibrant, interactive work blending graphic art, augmented reality, and scientific data to raise awareness about air pollution. Three murals with mini-games explore its causes, consequences, and potential solutions. Co-produced with Electroni[k] as part of the Saison MAINTENANT , in partnership with EduLab, Atelier des Transitions, Maison de la Consommation et de l’Environnement , and CROUS Bretagne.
